Thanks to everyone for sharing their thoughts on this post/comment. What constantly amazes me about this blogging world is how similar our situations are. We're not alone. When you strip away the details, either we had or we are experiencing the same thoughts, feelings, fears and we can use that to support each other and learn, grow, understand. To me, this is what connecting is about -- realizing that we are all so similar, that we are here for each other, and that, when it comes down to it, we understand each other, can learn from each other.

Thanks, especially, to Grace for her post that sparked this kind of self-understanding and realization. Like I said in the post, I'd experienced many losses in many different forms over the past few years and I never knew how to reconcile that fact. In fact, looking back, it had sort of become the theme of this blog. I'm grateful that I can start to look at loss in a positive light, that I'm better able to understand it.

So thanks to her and thanks to all of you for sharing your own experiences -- because I believe that's how we connect; I believe that by sharing, we can learn and grow. Wishing each and every one of you a very happy new year.
